In the course of 2009 share prices partly recovered from the decline they suffered in the ‘financial disaster year’ of 2008. In 2008 BinckBank achieved a good result in one of the worst years on the financial markets ever, and 2009 was an outstanding year for BinckBank, with increasing customer activity bringing about a strong rise in the operating result. BinckBank experienced few effects of the extremely sharp drop in interest rates on the money and capital markets. However, BinckBank’s growth does call for increasing amounts of capital.
